Another good news is that Lyocell technology, which has our own intellectual property rights, has made significant breakthroughs in its industrialization.

A few days ago, the research and development project of "1000 tons of Lyocell fiber industrialization technology" jointly undertaken by the Chinese Academy of textile science and Xinxiang chemical fiber Limited by Share Ltd has passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by the China Federation of textile industry. The expert committee composed of senior experts from the Chinese Academy of engineering, Chiang Shing Cheng and Donghua University professor Hu Xuechao has highly praised the project. The expert group agreed that the project filled the domestic blank of the advanced technology route of continuous membrane propulsion vacuum evaporation dissolving dry spray wet spinning, and the fiber performance index occupies the advanced level of the international similar products.


Lyocell fiber is named by the International Bureau of artificial fibres and synthetic fiber Standardization (BISF). It is a new type of regenerated cellulose fiber made from natural cellulose pulp, such as trees, bamboo, straw and other natural cellulose pulp, using NMMO as solvent. It adopts closed solution, spinning and solvent recovery process, and its production process has no harm to the environment.

At present, the real Lyocell fiber industry in the world is only Austria Lenzing (Lan Jing) company. Now it has an annual production capacity of 150 thousand tons, and it is expected to reach 210 thousand tons in 2015.


In order to improve the innovation ability of textile industry, promote the scientific and technological progress of textile industry, and solve the key common technology of textile industry, the Chinese Academy of textile science has launched the major project of technology, equipment, electrical automation and engineering design, and launched the research and development of Lyocell fiber localization technology in 2005.

In 2007, the State Key Laboratory of biogenic fiber manufacturing technology was approved by the Chinese Academy of textile science, and the development of Lyocell fiber engineering technology was the main content of the laboratory.

With the joint efforts of the project team members, it was passed in 9 years in 2008.

The scientific research achievements of "new solvent method for cellulose fiber key equipment and technology" were identified by the Federation of industry and technology.

Since then, the Chinese Academy of textile science has carried out research and development of the industrialization technology of 1000 tons of Lyocell fiber based on the research results obtained in the early stage, and has collaborated with the Xinxiang chemical fiber Limited by Share Ltd. After nearly 4 years of hard work, the project team has completed the technological amplification of the kiloton production line, developed a series of special equipment, solved the technical problems of engineering enlargement, such as material pportation, metering and on-line control, and built an annual production line of 1000 tons Lyocell fiber industrialization demonstration line, and realized the continuous and stable operation of the production line.


The successful development of this project is China's 10000 ton Lyocell.
